    Detroit Star
    Tuesday 7th September, 2010
    (IANS)

A wildfire in Colorado, US, was burning out of control Tuesday, forcing thousands of residents to flee, authorities said.

The Fourmile Canyon fire, just west of the city of Boulder, was zero percent contained and had burned over 1,400 hectares since it was ignited by unknown causes a day earlier.

The Boulder Office of Emergency Management said some 3,000 people were forced to evacuate but that no injuries had been reported.
